Eggbeater
The Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedal is one of the company’s most well known products and for good reason. There are four versions of the pedal, each with slightly different specifications, but all are made for race and XC biking. The Eggbeater has a micro platform.
Candy
Another popular example of Crank Brothers pedals is the Candy. This is a small platform pedal that is made for all-mountain biking. It comes in a striking electric blue or gold (amongst other colors) and is an attractive pedal. Again, there are four different types with a variety of specifications. Acid
Crank Brothers Acid pedals come with a large platform which makes them perfect for gravity and endure racing. Like all Crank Brothers pedals they have an attractive and eye catching design which makes use of electric colors. There are three different versions of the Crank Brothers Acid pedal – 3, 2 and 1. The number refers to the material used. For example, Acid 1 pedals are made from aluminum while Acid 2 pedals are made using magnesium. This affects the weight of the pedals amongst other things.
Mallet
If you’re looking for Crank Brothers pedals which are made for downhill riding then the Mallet product range may be the right choice. Mallet pedals have a large platform suitable for downhill. There are three different versions, again named 1,2 and 3. 1 and 2 are made from aluminum while 3 is made from a mixture of aluminum and titanium.
5050
Crank Brothers pedals are made for a wide range of different biking styles. The 5050 product line is specifically for freeride riders and comes with a flat pedal for complete control over movements. There are two different versions, the X and XX. Crank Brothers 5050 X pedals use ball bearings while 5050X pedals use sealed bearings.
