The company claims that they are the most innovative mountain bike suspension company in the world due to their cutting edge technology.
Manitou Dorado
Manitou Dorado suspension forks are without doubt the company’s most popular product at the moment. This is partly due to the fact that they have inverted stanchions which is different to more traditional bike forks. This affects a number of different characteristics of the forks compared with other types.
Some of the features of the latest Dorado forks include legs made of carbon, inverted stanchions and a double chamber air spring. Different circuits for low and high speed damping are also included as well as Manitou’s own thru-axle. Combined, these features make for an impressive fork which cannot be overlooked. There are two main types of Dorado – the Dorado MRD and Dorado Pro.
Manitou R7
Manitou R7 suspension forks are generally a lot less expensive than the Dorado range. For example you can get Manitou R7 Elite TPC forks for around $500 on the internet. Some are even less than this depending on the model you buy. The R7 comes with an air spring along with an aluminum steerer to make it as light as possible and hence perfect for uphill riding. There are two versions, the R7 and R7 MRD.
Manitou Drake
The Drake series is another popular example amongst the many Manitou suspension forks. There are three different versions available – the Drake Comp, Drake Super Air and Drake Super Air 29er. Which one is right for you will depend on your budget as well as what you require from bike suspension forks.
Other Manitou suspension forks
Some of the other suspension forks manufactured by Manitou include the Minute, Minute 29er and Circus Expert. Make sure you think carefully about which type is right for you before you buy as they each come with different specifications and features.
